David Shaw
Director, Expert in office refurbishments
David is a highly respected and experienced Director at Torridon who has an unwavering passion for the transformation and refurbishment of commercial buildings. With his extensive industry knowledge and keen eye for detail, David has successfully led numerous projects, delivering outstanding results for clients and stakeholders alike, including the recent BCO Award winning project for Chivas Brothers.
David’s dedication to greener building solutions has led him to recently join the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) Task Group for Commercial Retrofits. Through this involvement, he actively supports the council’s mission to accelerate commercial retrofit and reduce the built environment’s carbon footprint, ensuring a more sustainable future for commercial real estate.

Kenny Telfer
Director, Expert in residential refurbishments
Meet Kenny, an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor and the Director of Torridon Cost Consultancy. With a deep passion for residential property refurbishment, Kenny recognizes the crucial role it plays in achieving our climate targets. He thrives on collaborative work, fostering strong relationships with clients and contractors alike, as he believes that effective communication is the key to successful project outcomes.
As a member of the RICS Scotland Board and having dedicated a significant portion of his career to RICS, Kenny remains actively involved in shaping the industry. He is driven by a relentless pursuit of innovative approaches, seeking to blend modern technologies and systems with traditional quantity surveying. This commitment ultimately translates into delivering exceptional project financial clarity, offering clients the certainty they need to move forward confidently.
